Published Date: July 26, 2024

Phnom Penh, Cambodia, July 25, 2024 – PPCBank, one of Cambodia’s leading commercial banks, together with its strategic partner, Kosign, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Build Bright University. Under the MoU, PPCBank, Kosign and BBU will facilitate the digital payment of university fees, as well as create new avenues of convenience through other digital payments. The deal is being hailed as a significant milestone for the education and banking sectors in the Kingdom.

The MoU was signed by The President of PPCBank, Mr. LEE JIN YOUNG, and the President of BBU, Associate Professor Diep Seiha, and paves the way for BBU students to enjoy faster and more convenient fee payments through PPCBank’s digital payment platforms using WeBill365 service.

“We are deeply honored by BBU’s trust in PPCBank and our strategic partner, Kosign, in facilitating this significant initiative. This partnership will provide benefits to BBU students, allowing them to have more convenient and flexible digital payment solutions with PPCBank,” — said Mr. LEE JIN YOUNG.

The President of BBU, Associate Professor Diep Seiha, was equally upbeat about what the MoU meant for the university’s stakeholders. “BBU and PPCBank share a common vision through our collaborative efforts to harness digital technologies for improving payment systems. This collaboration aims to make financial transactions smoother and more accessible,” he said.

The MoU will promote the use of digital payments by students at BBU, facilitating secure and seamless transactions, while streamlining the process of paying tuition fees and other costs. PPCBank’s digital payment platforms offer convenience and time-saving, while also reducing travel costs by eliminating the need to visit bank branches and university offices to make payments.

PPCBank believes that this new collaboration not only strengthens its ties with BBU, but will pave the way for future cooperation in the field of financial innovation. It is also believed that students will find it easier to make transactions via static and dynamic KHQR within the WeBill365 system and Bakong, as well as direct transactions within the PPCBank ecosystem.
