Senior Officer IT Planning

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work on IT internal control such as project management & coordination, IT change request process, documentation
    & report, inspection, and regular review.
  • IT asset management, including managing IT equipment in stock and movement, proposing/purchasing equipment, and
    IT-related projects.
  • Contract management related to engagement/purchase projects, services, and various maintenance.
  • Negotiate with suppliers, understand, analyze, and evaluate enterprise-wide procurement requirements for
    products and services.
  • Examine internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk, and
    develop remediation strategies.
  • Conduct efficient and effective IT audit procedures.
  • Perform regular audit testing and provide recommendations.
  • Review, evaluate, and test application controls.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance on control risks.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business and system processes.
  • Assist in the allocation of budget/resources and prioritize projects in the pipeline based on business needs and
    IT capacity.
  • Ensure compliance with internal/external policies/guidelines and regulations.
  • Coordinate internal/external audit activities and industrial compliance assessment with vendors.
  • Review/update policies, guidelines, and other compliance requirements.
  • Track inventory levels and manage purchasing activities.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Discuss and analyze material and equipment needs with architects and engineers.
  • Track and report budgets by month, budget variance, and actual budget.
  • Other tasks assigned by line manager.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional qualification
  • At least 3 years’ experience of IT Planning or related field in the Banking sector.
  • Experienced in system development in the banking sector if preferred.
  • Familiar with IT compliance and governance frameworks such as TRM, PCI DSS, ISO27001, COBIT, etc.
  • Good at project management, documentation, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership, creativity, dynamism, flexibility, self-direction, and self-motivation as a team player.
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Strong in written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of
    the business.
